FineTune Ronit Singh overview
FineTune is an app to control volume for each app independently, route apps to different output devices, apply EQ.
FineTune uses macOS Core Audio process taps to intercept and modify audio streams before they reach your output devices. This allows precise control without affecting the source applications.

- EQ boost fixed — Boosting EQ bands was incorrectly lowering volume instead of raising it (#171)
- Fixed high idle CPU usage — A timer leak caused CPU usage to climb over time, even when no audio was playing (#176)
- Fixed audio resource leak — Recovering from an unresponsive app could leak system audio resources over long sessions (#176)
- Reduced background polling when no apps are being controlled (#176)

I've been using this for over a month now, after my version of SoundSource developed a huge memory leak. FineTune has been completely reliable and has a very small memory footprint, providing all the functionality I needed from SoundSource, without the upgrade fee. The dev has been responsive and this app is really great at what it does.
